Puppy dog; (2, 0 abs)
1st – Evans’ Amazon showtime. Black/tan male of 9 months. Balanced head with dark almond eyes. Correct ear set. Strong neck and back but shoulder could be more laid back. Good spring of rib with well filled croup and correct tail set. Well muscled rear. Moved ok. RBPIS
2nd – Kent’s Korifey Reckless. 11 months black/tan male. Correct head plains with nice dark eye colour although could be more almond. Nice reach of neck with sloping top line. Good spring of rib and depth to chest. Would like a touch more forechest. Would have preferred a shorter coupling. Shoulders a touch forward. Good rear. Moved ok. Preferred substance of 1)
Junior dog; (5, 2abs)
1st – Blackburn’s Knecht Little Richard. Black/tan male of 14 months. Balanced head with correct plains and dark almond eye. Lovely wedge shape with good underjaw. Clean, strong neck, although for me a touch short, leading down to hard topline that he held solid both stacked and whilst moving. Well off for bone and rib. Nice chest and forechest with a short coupling, well filled croup and correct tailset. Well muscled throughout. Stood foursquare on tight feet. Moved with drive. Unfortunately ran out of ring very quickly! Would have liked to see him go in a larger ring.
2nd – Brown’s Jojavik shaken not stirred. Black/tan male of 13 months. Longer cast than 1) with the length being in the loin. Good head plains with dark almond eye and alert expression. A little deep in stop for my taste. Lovely reach of neck leading to reasonably placed shoulder. Slightly sloping topline which was held on the move. Correct tailset. Nice depth of chest with enough forechest. Well muscled throughout and stood on tight feet. Unfortunately was just short striding a touch one side today. Obviously just a growing boy who will no doubt be as fluid as ever in 2 days time.
